Do you believe? We do, and so do our friends at the South Devon Railway, which is why we are proud to be visiting an exciting magical experience like no other. This Christmas, join us as THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride comes to South Devon Railway!

Here they theatrically re-create the 2004 motion picture for you and your family. Dive into the sights, sounds and intrigue of this classic children’s tale.
​​
Prepare for a truly spectacular Christmas experience, surrounded by the magic and wonder of the season. In the distance, out in the cold night, to much excitement, you hear the familiar whistle of the steam train that is THE POLAR EXPRESS™!

Route 1 pickups
These pickup locations are available on trips marked below as Route 1.

Merthyr Tydfil - Aberdare - Mountain Ash - Pontypridd - Cardiff Gate - Newport

A feeder minibus will connect to the coach at Pontypridd from Treorchy, Tonypandy and Porth.
Route 2 pickups
These pickup locations are available on trips marked below as Route 2. Please note that Route 2 does sometimes use a feeder service.

Polar Express, Paignton Zoo & Torquay

These trips follow Route 1
Saturday
Depart South Wales on Saturday morning and head to Paignton Zoo for an afternoon exploring it's collection of about 2,000 animals representing nearly 300 species, and about 1,600 different species of plant.

We'll then head to the hotel for the evening which is in the heart of Torquay, why not spend some time exploring the Bay of Lights festival whilst you're here?

Sunday
After breakfast we'll head to the South Devon Railway for The Polar Express! Meet Santa, see if you're on the naughty or nice list, and enjoy a magical time.
​​
We'll then head to Exeter for lunch and it's famous Christmas Market before heading back to Wales in the afternoon.

These trips follow Route 2
Saturday
Depart South Wales on Saturday morning and head to Exmouth, have some time for lunch ahead of your Sail with Santa experience, a magical sailing meeting Santa and all of his helpers, all children will receive a gift onboard.​
​
We'll then head to the hotel where you'll get an evening at leisure in Exeter.​​

Sunday
After breakfast we'll head to the South Devon Railway for The Polar Express! Meet Santa, see if you're on the naughty or nice list, and enjoy a magical time.

We'll then head to Taunton where you can grab some lunch before heading back to Wales in the afternoon.
